I LOVE the first video for many reason
#1 McCall's laugh is infectious-- It doesn't matter what I'm doing- it always puts a smile on my face.
#2 I love that these two are already "playing" together-- even though they can't really "play" because Baylor is so little.

1/2 Year Birthday!

Baylor is 6 Month Old! Holy Moly!?! This has happened so fast!
At 6 Months Baylor is:

14 pounds 10 ounces (12th percentile)
25.5 inches long (33rd percentile)
Is such a happy girl!!!! I could not ask for an easier to please child!
Is army-crawling ALL over the place!
Sits supported mostly (unsupported for a few seconds at a time)
Has tried green beans and peas this week (and LOVES them both!)
Was sick for the first time :(
Is laughing and making all kinds of "new" noises
Still has just two bottom teeth
Still gets some breast milk, but is mostly on formula now :( (Mommy is having a hard time pumping and being at work)
Has started pulling up and standing while holding onto furniture
LOVES McCall! McCall can come in the room and Baylor lights up!

Tired of Being Sick & Tired....Times 2!

Boo for having sick little ones! M has been fighting off her typical respiratory issues (you know, coughing, congestion, etc.) that generally lead to breathing treatments, an antibiotic, some times steroid, etc. As if it wasn't hard enough seeing McCall sick, try seeing your precious 5 month old!?!?! Talk about feeling helpless..... The past three weeks definitely have not been fun!!! We are on the upswing though, right? RIGHT?!?!? RIGHT?????
Prayers..... PLEASE!

Partyin' It Up!

Over the past two weeks the girls have been partyin' it up with some of their favorites. Cousin Drake turned 3, Cousin Tessa turned 3, & McCall's friend Kellyn turned 3!

One night last week before bed time McCall claimed that she had a"monster" in her closet. So, what did Mommy and Daddy do? Go look for the "monster!"

"Daddy, there's a monster in my closet!!!"

"Can you believe it, Daddy?"

Daddy: "Oh My!"

(FYI... Davy got to her closet to check out the monster and McCall told Davy: "Daddy, don't hurt the monster- he's my brother!" -- where does this kid get her material? Really? Her brother???)

4, Oh Wait 5 Months Old

So, I realized that I never blogged about Baylor turning 4 months old AND then I realized why..... I NEVER TOOK HER 4 MONTH PICTURE! :(
So, from what I can recall and thanks to at least some documentation (aka.... my text message to my sweet hubby while sitting in her 4 month doctor check-up)
At 4 Months Baylor: (I can't believe I didn't take her 4 Month picture....This was a pretty BIG month for her- I hope she doesn't need therapy because of my lack of blogging it.... )

Baylor was 11 pounds even
24 inches long
Got TWO teeth! Yes, TWO teeth!!!!!!!!
Started sitting in her Bumbo
Rolls over all the time... and even now sleeps on her tummy. I know, she isn't suppose to... tell her that....

OK, so on to Baylor turning 5 Months Old (where I actually took a picture of my sweet little pumpkin.... Mommy guilt is a terrible thing):

According to my baby scale she is 12 pounds and 4 ounces
Is 25 inches long
Has tried a little rice cereal... ehhh... is OK with it... take it or leave it
Drinks 6 ounce bottles every 3.5 hours.
As of about 2 weeks ago is no longer exclusively getting breast milk :( She gets anywhere from 4-5 ounces of breast milk in each bottle and the rest is formula. Mommy couldn't keep up with her :(
Is the sweetest, calmest, ray of sunshine... seriously, I want to eat her everyday... really!

Vacation

I'm so excited to have the next few weeks off of work to do nothing but play with my girls and spend some quality time with my husband! Whew! The past few weeks have been exhausting (with Davy being out of town for TWO weeks!) --I can't wait to have some time to just enjoy each other.

I get to meet my new niece, Tessa!!!!

Nikki and Eric will fly into Charlotte from China tomorrow night with their daughter (our niece!). Davy, McCall, Baylor and I can not wait to finally meet her in person. We have been skyping with them since they got her last Monday. She is SOOOOOO happy and looks absolutely adorable!

We recently had some family pictures done. It was SOOOOOO cold! But the girls actually did pretty good ONLY because Davy's cousin Ashlee and her family were also having their family pictures done at the same time. McCall LOVES playing with Peyton and Pryce and I'm sure Baylor and Piper will play together once they get bigger (esp. since they are only 3 weeks apart in age!) Trial Run

So, you may think I'm crazy when I tell you this....
OK, so some of you already think I'm crazy.... I'm cool with that :)
Yesterday I needed to get some shopping done (and my parents were in town) so I headed off to the mall with both kids, my mom, Ken, and Davy. I decided that while we were there we should have a "trial run" for the Santa pictures we have coming up next week. If you remember correctly....this was the scene last year.... and the year before that Santa had to sneak up behind McCall while she wasn't looking so we could snap at least one photo :( So, I think it was totally justified that was a little nervous about how McCall was going to respond to Santa this year.
Great news! She loved him! McCall wanted to know where his reindeer were and wanted to make sure he got ALL of her Christmas list. (and it didn't hurt that Santa supplied her with a little candy too).
I will post both Santa pictures (the mall one and the one from next week) after the Santa Meet and Greet next week at M's school.

Why oh why can I not find time to blog? Maybe, just maybe it's because I have a full-time job... and I'm a full-time Mommy of TWO.... and my husband has been out of town for a week...... Anyway.... nothing new going on here, but I do have some new pictures of the girls and our latest activities!

Mommy's Birthday

So I celebrated another year of life a few weeks ago and my sweet husband, girls, friends and parents could not have made it more special! Seriously, I had a week of celebrating! I got special treats all week long from my Mom, Step-dad and Dad, got flowers from Davy and the girls, went to dinner with a great group of friends, and even got flowers from my super awesome (and seriously the busiest person I know!!!!!) friend Dr. Carreen Drake and her family! Turning twenty eight hasn't been too bad..... :)

These yummy strawberries kicked off my birthday week (thanks Mom and Ken!!)

I'm sort of embarrassed to say this, but this was only 1 of my 4 cakes...yes, I said FOUR! I love (way more than I should) sweets! Davy got me a chocolate cake and a strawberry cake. My Mom had a cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory sent to me and my Dad brought me the above Gamecock cookie when he visited!!! yummy!!!!

While Dad was here, he and M carved a pumpkin together.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love McCall's school and her teachers? Look what they helped McCall do for my birthday!

3 Months Old

So, I'm officially back at work (which explains the lack of blogging...) and I miss my girls like crazy during the day! But it does make me appreciate the time I have at night and on the weekends with them.
So what have the girls been up to lately? Sweet, sweet Baylor is now THREE months old! What?? Yes, she is three months old!
So at three months old Baylor is:

still so calm and happy! Love seeing that sweet smile!!!!
starting to have some changes in her hair.... it's totally starting to get lighter- just like her big sisters did.
10 pounds and 7.5 ounces!!! woooo hooo! Finally getting some weight on her! (and finally out of newborn diapers!!!)
will occasionally turn over from her back to her stomach (it's only happened a hand full of times)
now at McCall's school. We LOVE where both girls are going! I originally had doubts about Baylor starting while she was sooooooo little, but the past 2 weeks could not have gone better. Ms. Blake has been so sweet to this over protective Mommy and more importantly to my sweet little peanut!
the sweetest, cuddliest (is that a word?), cutest, most loving, precious child!! I seriously want to eat her up every day!! Oh God is so good!

Now, for news on my 27 2 year old diva, McCall. Poor thing has been sick! She is now on the up swing, but man did she worry me (and her La La and Mi Mi!)! Long story, but McCall ended up with bronchitis (thank goodness it wasn't pneumonia!) and was on multiple medications and breathing treatments for a week. Great way to be welcomed back to work, right?! So appreciative that my Mother-in-law went to the doctor with us (since I was a ball of nerves) and my sweet Mom came to stay 4 nights with us!

Doing her breathing treatments [she was not drinking the soft drink she is holding, but wanted to hold Mommy's drink while doing the treatment.... as long as she did the treatment, I didn't care :)]

There's that sweet smile I missed!

So glad my mom came to help out!!

TWO Fun Weekends in a Row!!!

Two weekends ago we went to Easley to visit my parents and the girls had a blast! Then this past weekend we went to the mountains with Davy's parents for another weekend of fun. We stayed at my in-laws new mountain house- it's super cute and cozy!

It's All About the Twos!!!!

My little Baylor is TWO months old! And when I say my little Baylor I really mean my little Baylor- as in 9 pounds; 21.5 inches long (6th percentile in weight and 15th in height- I went back and looked at McCall's stats and at 2 months she was almost 10 and a half pounds and 23 1/8 inches long).
Talk about having two totally different children... McCall is off the charts and Baylor is barely on them!
Speaking of Miss McCall... as of October 1st she is TWO AND a HALF!!!!
Below are both girls milestones/stats :)

At 2 Months Baylor:

SMILES!!!! Yeah... and it's the most precious smile I've ever seen.
Her eyes are still blue (like her big sister and Daddy!)
Sleeps through the night!!! Usually 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM :) Mommy likes!!!
Is so calm! (most of the time) I really couldn't have asked for a better baby!

At 2 and a half McCall:

Is more independent than ever! We frequently hear "I do it myself!"
Loves her "seeeee-ster, Bay-luuur" and wants to hold her ALL the time!
Counts to 20
Loves playing with stickers & watching Clifford(the big red dog) on TV :)
Says her ABC's.... just not in the right order :) So I guess technically she is just spelling a REALLY long word....
Loves to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Happy Birthday to You" to anyone and everyone.
Knows how to work an iPhone better than most adults (scary, I know!)
Is 32 or so pounds
Wears a 3T; size 8 shoe (whoa!)

Baylor's Dedication to the church was on Sunday morning. Oh goodness, Baylor is loved!!!!! She had Grandparents, Great Aunts, Great Uncles, friends (who are like family), and cousins all there to support her on this special day. Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated with us! I still tear up thinking about you all coming- It really meant so much that you could be there!!!

Disclaimer: I'm just a few short sentences away from sounding like a really old person. I warned you.....OK?
I normally take several pictures of the girls everyday (yes, everyday!) with my nice camera. However, lately it has become easier and more convenient to just take a picture with my iPhone. Who would have thought 10 years ago I would prefer using my PHONE to take a picture over my CAMERA? [Davy, if you are reading this, I promise I still LOOOOOOOVE my Nikon too :) ]

Our sweet little Baylor is growing and changing everyday! At one month:

Baylor is so calm! I can put her down wide awake after the middle of the night feedings and she looks around until she falls back asleep!!! She's such a good baby!!!!
Baylor is now 7 pounds 9 ounces [yes, I have a baby scale at my house and I weigh her every now and then... Ok, everyday.... :) ]
Baylor is around 20 inches long - it's still hard to measure her- she LOVES having her legs pulled up to her tummy. (Just a little FYI McCall was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20.5 inches long at one month- so far they are about the same physically)
Baylor still looks just like McCall did at this age! It's crazy! In fact, I call her McCall all the time on accident :)
Baylor still loves her paci!
Baylor typically sleeps from about 10-3:30 or 4ish before feeding and then goes back to bed til around 8:30- I know, we are very lucky!!!!
Baylor loves being snuggled and held really tight... my little snuggle bear (she has even somehow gotten the nickname "Baylor Bear")
Baylor seems to only fuss when she has gas, is ready to eat, or is sleepy :)

I feel so behind! I thought I better put this up before she turns Three Weeks Old on Thursday! :)

Baylor's check-up went great! She is now:

6 pounds 12 ounces (she was 6 lbs. 8 ounces when she was born and 6 lbs. 2 ounces when she left the hospital) Way to go Baylor!!!
19 3/4 inches long (19 inches when she was born)
25th percentile for weight
30th percentile for height
And Dr. Don said she was perfect! :) (as if I didn't already think that!?!)

Baylor has only been a part of our family for about 48 hours or so and I already can't imagine our lives without her! She is beyond perfect and I can't stop loving on this sweet baby girl. So far she seems very chilled out and calm.... this makes Mommy happy! I feel so different this time around after delivery. With McCall, I didn't have a clue! Seriously... not a clue. I feel so much more prepared for what I should be looking for or doing. In turn, I am much more relaxed and enjoying Baylor. Ahhh... I could go on and on about how over the moon I am for her, but I won't... I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Baylor Claussen Gregg arrived on Thursday night (July 28th, 2011) at 10:10 PM with very similar stats as her big sister. Baylor was 6 lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches long (McCall was 6 lbs. 6 oz. 19 3/4 inches long). We are just beyond in love with her and I can't wait to sit down and write an entire blog about her, but until then this will have to do.

Our Father's Day wasn't the typical Father's Day(due to my dad, Davy's dad's and Davy's work schedule), but some how we still got to see them all and had a great day :) The highlight of the day was a Father's Day cookout/Birthday Party for our cousin, Toney. Sweet Baylor showed us her most precious face! My mother-in-law and I headed to the THIRD attempt at a 4-D ultrasound on Wednesday. We originally thought "here we go again" when she started out the first 20 minutes of the ultrasound with her toes in her mouth and her arm and hand across her nose, mouth, forehead-- pretty much her whole face was covered! But Cathy, the sweet ultrasound tech, didn't give up! We finally got a glimpse of what Baylor looks like. I personally think she looks A LOT like McCall- just with some bigger and rounder cheeks! (which could be because McCall's was done at 27 weeks and 5 days and Baylor's was done at 32 Weeks and 5 days) What do you think?
We are even more excited to meet this cutie than ever before, if that's possible!!!!

Baby Girl Has A Name!!!

After several months of calling our youngest child different names everyday, we have finally had one stick! We are thrilled to finally say that McCall will be the big sister of Baylor Claussen Gregg! Baylor is a name that Davy heard and LOVED, Claussen is Davy's Grandfathers middle name AND Baylor will have the same initials as my mother-in-law.
Yay! We finally have a name.... let the monogramming begin..... :)

Baby Girl Update

This afternoon my mother-in-law and I headed to have my 4D ultrasound of baby Girl Gregg. I was hoping that this baby was going to be nothing like her sister, McCall. By that I mean, I was hoping she would cooperate for our 4D session- unlike McCall, who I had to go back and have it done another day because she wanted to hide the whole time. Well, no such luck! We could see peaks of her nose, chin and mouth (and saw lots of her feet and hands- which look JUST LIKE McCall- especially the nose!!!), but nothing more. This sweet baby girl has her head pressed between my hip and the placenta. Bummer! But the good news is that the doctor's office did not charge me for the ultrasound and will let me come back in a week and half- the only concern there is that now she may be too big to get a good picture. We shall see.... :)

Yes, I said Moses Day... why you might ask? What was the last thing I heard my sweet baby girl say to me tonight as I tucked her into bed? "Happy Moses Day, Mommy. I wove you" Seriously? MELT. MY. HEART!!!
I had a FANTASTIC Mother's Day filled with lots of mommy time! Davy started out my Mother's Day by making breakfast for my mom and myself. What a sweet husband! Then Davy took McCall and I out to lunch and we finished off the day grilling out for my mother-in-law. (And in between there was lots of outdoor fun with McCall-- which included Pa Pa introducing McCall to her first balance beam- long story, folks!!!)
I can not begin to describe how blessed I feel to be McCall's Mom. And to just think... next Mother's Day I will be feeling this way about our TWO daughters! Life is good- God is great!! Thank you for ALL my blessings!

Top 3 Reasons I "Let" Daddy Pick McCall Up From School

3. He gets to spend quality one-on-one time with his sweet girl.
2. I take McCall to school most mornings and it allows me to tie-up my work day before everyone gets home.
1. Because I love listening to Davy re-tell the stories of what McCall "did" that day at school.

For Example.... the story last week involved lunch time with McCall. Apparently peas were on the menu at school (a personal fav of McCalls). The teacher told Davy that McCall ate her lunch like she normally does, but towards the end of lunch she caught a glimpse of McCall putting something up her nose. She walked over to her to investigate and what was it? PEAS! My child was putting peas up her nose!!!!!!!!!!!! The teacher said she tried not to laugh and was able to remove the peas (or so she thought) from McCall's nose. And YES, I said peas- as in plural! The teacher said a few minutes later McCall was playing with a toy when she sneezed and a pea went flying out of her nose!!! Miss Anna said it didn't stop there! McCall sneezed TWO more times (in which peas exited her nose) before the total of FIVE (5) peas were removed from her nose. Holy moly..... what to do with this curious child?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! That was a scream of relief (if you couldn't tell). We finally ordered furniture for our youngest daughter last night!!!! La La was kind enough to pick up McCall from school so Davy and I could head to the beach after work to do a little shopping! We decided on this.....

Big Girl Bed Update...

I'm happy to report that we have gone a week (yes, a WEEK) with McCall sleeping ALL night in her big girl bed. The first night was definitely an easy night compared to the few that followed. Holy moly!!!! We went a few nights with McCall going to bed easy, but waking up around 2 AM to turn the lights on and want out of the bed. That was no good! So back to the drawing board we went.
I spent about 3 hours in the middle of the night researching/speed reading on how to get your toddler to sleep through the night. Well, luckily we have been using a method I found online and it's working!! AND not only is it working at night, it is working for naps too!!!!! McCall is laying down (without any whining or fussing) and sleeping all night and during nap times!! Lets hope it continues....

Baby Girl Gregg Update

Monday I had my check-up. Nothing new to report- good BP still sitting somewhere around 90/60 (sometimes 80ish/60), packed on a few pounds, and the baby had a heart rate of 147. I'm feeling Baby Girl move ALL the time now and I absolutely love it! All the thumps, bumps and kicks put a smile on my face! We are picking out the furniture (finally) for our sweet new addition this weekend and I hope to get some bedding ordered too. I feel like I'm finally getting a few things knocked off of my Baby Girl "to-do" list. Now, if we could just name this child.......
Anyway, I'm having my glucose test done at my next visit in May. So, that will probably be my next update.

McCall's Two Year Old Check-Up

McCall had her 2 (TWO, my baby is TWO!!!) year old check-up last week.
I keep thinking that McCall will eventually go to one of her check-ups and that she will even out on some of her percentages. WELL, her two year old check-up wasn't that time!
McCall's Two Year Old Stats:

75th percentile in weight (29 lbs)
I giggle at the height stat because I'm not really sure what her percentile was. The reason being because the physician saw her height (which was drawn on the graph- the dot being about an INCH above the 100th percentile!) and said "well, she's tall....and going to be REALLY tall. Like model or basketball player tall."

To Do List

I LOVE "To Do" List- No, really, I don't think you get it. I mean, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE "To Do" list- probably more than one should! I love being able to check items off- I feel so productive. Unfortunately, this week, I have not been able to get much crossed off of my "to do" list since we've had a sick one at our house. So, this week I promise to work on my blog "to do" list. It includes: catching up on March birthday celebrations, McCall's Second Birthday, McCall's 2 Year Old Check Up, Baby Girl Number 2 Updates, and some weekend fun!

Big Girl Bed!!!!

Sunday night McCall decided she no longer wanted to stay in her crib. Her first exit from her crib came right after bed time, so that wasn't such a big deal. I put her back in her crib and kissed her good night. Easy enough, right? WRONG! She decided to escape again around 3 AM Monday morning, as well (which she was sick, so maybe she just wanted her Mommy and Daddy :) ) and thank goodness Davy realized it right away! He jumped up and started running to her room. I jumped up too and waddled into her room to see what was going on. There she stood.....
So, long story short, we converted her bed last night to a full BIG GIRL bed. I just knew this was going to make for another sleepless night. Man, I have never been so excited to be SO wrong. McCall seemed pretty excited about her big girl bed, but you never know.....
So, I fully expected to lay with her after I read a book to her, but I tucked her in and she looked at me and said "Good night, Mommy." I paused for a second contemplating if I should lay down or just walk out. Davy and I decided to just leave. We turned the lights off and listened at the door. What did we hear? Crying? No. Whining? No. We heard McCall saying goodnight to every possible person she could think of!!!!!! It was hilarious!
"Good night Mommy, good night Daddy, good night La La, good night Pa Pa, good night Mi Mi, good night Papi, good night Pa Pa, good night Drake, good night Eli, good night Ella, good night Derrick.....................on and on she went!
After about 5 minutes I heard heavy breathing and haven't heard a peep from her since (and it's 7 AM!!!) . There is NO way it is going to be this easy transitioning to a big girl bed, right???? I really hope the rest of the week goes smoothly!

My sweet little McCall is TWO today! I still can't believe how fast two years have gone by, but at the same time I have a hard time ever remembering our lives without her. Yes, today I celebrate my daughter's life, but remember that I must first thank God for selecting us to be her parents. Why He picked Davy and I, we will never know, but we couldn't be happier or more grateful.
