Fun Day Go

Grandma and Grandpa took Drake and McCall to Fun Day Go on Tuesday. They had a big time!!! I met them there for a few minutes so I could snap a few pictures.
McCall and Drake checking things out....
McCall: "Drake, you think we can get on that big slide?"
Drake: "Been there, done that sister..."
OK, I just HAD to include this picture. I feel bad for poor Drake crying, but this photo reminded me of a picture of my brother and I when we were little. In our picture I am smiling and he is crying- he claims I pinched him- sure hope that isn't the case here!
the baby slide...
Having a good time!
Playing with Grandma
both kids just finished sliding....
the big slide with Grandma
and now with Miss Priss!
"Grandma and Grandpa, I'm having a blast!!"
Peyton (and Aunt Maggie) met us there too.
I love this picture!!!!! On the left is Grandma holding his hand, on the right is Grandpa!
and now with McCall
at the top of the big girl slide
Drake and Aunt Maggie having fun
Playing with Grandpa
Drake is SO brave!!! He had no problem sliding right out of the entire jumpy thing...it was too cute!

Cousin Drake Came to Play

We found out Sunday night Drake was coming to town on Monday so what did I do that night?
...make him a Valentine's cookie too!!!
So of course, I had to make everyone a cookie! (and yes, I am very aware of my OCDness...they are in birth order! And I know Eli isn't here yet, but I just couldn't forget him!)
Such a big boy- he looks adorable walking!!!!!
"Yummy, lots of sugar before I go spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa!!!"
Drake after eating some of his cookie
Again, she doesn't even like a paci but when Drake is around she wants his... go figure!
McCall stole half of Drake's cookie. I had a firm talk with her about it while Davy high fived her and laughed- not good!

Baby Jail

McCall continues to climb underneath our bar chairs- you may think "so what?" The big "so what" is that she can figure out how to get under them but CAN'T figure out how to get out! She use to cry when she got stuck but now she stands there and laughs, which makes me laugh.....oh my, we have our hands full!

McCall came home from Mimi, Papa and Papi's with.......

A PONY!!! Just kidding.... another tooth (a grand total of five- two on top, three on bottom)! We now have an explanation to her lack of sleep over the past week! The pictures from M's trip with the grandparents are below.

Riding in the car
Reading/eating one of Papa's books (she skipped picture books and went straight to chapter books!)
Everyone that knows my mom and Ken knows how much they loooove breakfast food- so, of course, they had to take McCall to Waffle House! (where she had her first experience with grits...AND loooooved them!)
M people watching....
Fresh out of the bath
Playing with Papi (yes, he had open heart surgery in November; no, he should NOT be putting her on his chest) Dad, this is my way of fussing at you! Love you!
More playing with Papi
On the way to church
Eating at IHOP before church
Her belly is full...now relaxing....
I had some free time this weekend while McCall was visiting the grandparents in Easley, so I made Valentine's cookies that I had seen in this months issue of Southern Living.

End of the week

A few pictures from the end of the week-enjoy! (I would write more but we are running late for church- I know, I know, why am I even on the computer??)

I LOVE it! Laughing with Mommy!
Davy and I like picking McCall up together from school on Friday afternoons and took the camera to snap a few new pictures of her. I thought this one Davy took was sweet- who knows what we were laughing about.
In the car on the way to see Mimi, Papa and Papi!
Getting sleepy.....
Resting up to play with the grandparents!

Pictures, pictures and moooooooooooore pictures!

A few cute and sweet moments from the week (so far....)
Sunday morning McCall was playing in the floor with the box of wipes (who knew this would entertain her?) and after a few minutes this happened....

Play time with Daddy
I told Davy he looked mad....
so he smiled!
M changed Sports Center....
Davy changed it back
My sweet babies!
My first attempt at putting McCall's hat on for school....
There we go!
"Look Mom, no hands!!!"
Ready to go
Next morning (I know, the outfit looks similar to the day before- brown and pink are her colors :) )

I can't decide if she is doing "no hands" or "praise Jesus"- you decide! :)
My big girl standing all by her self!

Bath time = fun time!

"I don't want to get out of the bath, Mom and Dad!!"

10 Months Old

Our sweet cupcake is already 10 months old! Not too much new to report, but just in case we haven't mentioned it before we'll do the typical likes, dislikes, and milestones at 10 months:

Likes:

  • Bath time, hands down!
  • Walking with her walker
  • Crawling on objects-this includes toys as well as other children at school. Yeah, we are trying to figure out how to deal with that one......
  • People food- especially green beans(gets that from her Mama!), rice, chicken, and carrots. Milestones:
  • Cruising from object to object and she has actually gotten very good at it!(she's been doing this for a while now, but I think I've forgotten to mention it before- sorry, M).
  • Praise the Lord- the second top tooth (total of four teeth) finally finished breaking all the way through!!! I wasn't sure we were all going to make it out alive before that tooth made it's complete appearance.
  • Happy to report that she IS NOT moving up in classes at school, but they did warn us it would only be a matter of time. :( Apparently she has met all the milestones except for walking to move up to the one year old room. We dearly love McCall's teachers at school and it will be a tough day when we find out she is moving up. (Davy says he's going to tie her legs together so she never walks- I think he's kidding...let's hope, right?)
  • Finally got a "mama, mama, mama" yesterday- so sweet!!!! Dislikes:
  • Having her outfit and/or diaper changed
  • Anyone trying to look in her mouth. In fact she will tighten her lips and shake her head rapidly if you even attempt to take a look- this made things even more difficult during this second top tooth situation.
