A Scary Post...

I may regret saying or posting this BUT, here goes..... McCall slept (for the third night in a row) longer than 7 hours straight!!!!!! OK, it's out there..I'm probably going to be up all night tonight. :) Anyway, I'm proud of my sweet girl!

Super Busy, but Fun Week....

Whew!!! We have been busy over the past week or so- going to Easley, going to Fayetteville to visit Davy (who was working out of town), Laurie & Wally came to visit, going to see Aunt K, and attending Matt's B-day party. Anyway, here are some pictures from around the house and the past weeks events- ENJOY!

A fender bender...

Yesterday McCall and I were in a fender bender in the Joe's parking lot in Easley. We are both fine, in fact McCall slept through the whole thing. However, it still scared me to death. I don't know what I would have done if my sweet girl had gotten hurt! An elderly woman didn't see us driving through the parking lot and backed into the passenger side of my car. Actually, after she had already hit our car she continued to back up because she didn't realize she had hit us! She was very nice about the whole thing and admitted it was completely her fault. She was so upset when she realized that McCall was in the car with me. Anyway, somehow my car has very little damage...a few dents on the front and back doors. We are very thankful that everything turned out OK.

My Happy Girl...

McCall was in such a fun mood today, so I just had to snap a few pictures! She is now making lots of sweet noises, smiling and I think I even heard the start of a laugh yesterday. Her little personality is starting to shine through... she is such a happy baby-I LOVE IT!!!! A lot of the pictures look the same, but they were all so cute I couldn't decide which ones to post.
My smiling girl!
"You talking to me?"
Davy got her ready for bed-I just love this little duck outfit on her!
OK, I know this picture looks funny-I must explain. Davy and I rock McCall in this chair and sometimes the afternoon sun is in McCall's eyes (even if the blinds are closed) . SO, Davy decided that putting the blanket over his head might eliminate some of the sun.... and it did! :) The things you do to make your child happy.

Play Date #2

Price and McCall were able to spend more time together today. They were adorable! I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Is Price a Daddy's boy? OR a Mommy's boy?
Big boy Price in his Bumbo!
McCall wasn't sure what to think about being in Price's swing.
We all had on green! (Definitely not planned, but still cute!) Kris and McCall spending some QT together
Price and McCall started like this......
then Price decided it was time to make a move on McCall.....
and it didn't go quite as he expected....

Happy Birthday, Davy!

I know this blog is suppose to be about McCall, but I just had to make a note that Sunday was Davy's first birthday since McCall was born. McCall helped (well, she watched) Davy blow out his candles after we sang at 7 AM (I think Davy may have enjoyed it a little more if we had waited 'til at least 7:30- sorry!) Happy 26th Birthday, Davy!!
I forgot to take a picture of the cake before we cut it- looks like it was good!

What a busy weekend!!!

Davy and I had such a busy weekend, so in turn McCall spent A LOT of time with my mom and step-dad (Mimi and Papa). First, I would like to say how appreciative we are that they were willing to drive all the way to Florence to babysit her while Davy and I went to various events. We are especially thankful for them watching McCall Friday night while we went to Lexington for our friend Kim's Going Away Party. This was McCall's first night away from me when she hasn't just been down the hall or next door at my in-laws. I was more than an hour away from McCall!! I am more than willing to admit that I was totally out of control when telling my parents her routine and what to do if she fussed, had a stomach ache, etc. I even went so far as to tell them what to do if she started teething!!! I mean, come on Bridget- she's 2 months old! I know, I'm crazy when it comes to my sweet girl! I seriously did give them an hour long run down of what to do ....(like they had never raised kids or something.... they have 4 between the two of them). I honestly don't think my parents would have put it past me to tell them what to do if she were to start driving before I returned home. :) Anyway, thanks Mom and Ken for watching McCall and listening to me be OCD mom! :)

2 Months Old & "Going to Grandma's" (and Great Grandma's)!!!

Today was McCall's 2 month check-up and Aunt Nikki went with us to Dr. Whitehead's office. We were very excited to see that McCall was 10 pounds 4 ounces and 23 1/8 inches long. She is now in the 75th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight. McCall also had to have 3 shots today and she did really well and only cried for about 30 seconds-thank goodness, I was afraid I would start crying with her! Dr. Whitehead gave us more great news while we were there- he gave us the "go ahead" to visit my grandmother (who has been recovering from shingles and is yet to meet McCall). So, while heading home Nikki suggested we visit my grandmother this week while Davy was out of town- WHAT A GREAT IDEA! I thought about what Nikki said for a while and decided that I couldn't wait any longer. I packed McCall and I up and headed to Easley. My grandmother's reaction to McCall was better than I could have ever imagined!! She couldn't stop saying how perfect my sweet baby was. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen! I couldn't help but tear up (and of course my mom did too) It means so much to me that my Grandmother, who has been such an important part of my life, got to meet McCall. Today was one of the best days of my life!
McCall with Aunt Nikki looking happy here- she apparently didn't know she was getting shots! :)
How much will she weigh? 10 pounds 4 ounces!!! Almost a 4 pound gain since birth!
McCall's Great Grandmother holding her
4 Generations!!!! This picture means more to me than anyone will ever know.

McCall's Trip to Columbia

Yesterday I took McCall to Columbia to say goodbye to Aunt Kim. Kim joined the Peace Corp. and will be in Peru for the next two years. We are so proud of Kim and are going to miss her terribly!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a pretty relaxing Memorial Day Weekend. Davy took a few days off of work last week and he had today (Monday) off so, it was nice to have so much family time together. Also, we had a few visitors over the weekend. Our nephew, Drake, came to Florence and stayed with the neighbors (aka the Grandparents) for the weekend and Koehler (Gus, Easley and Meadow- her dog and her brothers two dogs) came Saturday and Sunday to stay with us. Below are some pictures from the weekend (I don't know how I managed to not get a single picture of Koehler while she was here... guess we were having too much fun!) It never gets old!!! I know, I take WAY too many pictures of Davy and McCall napping together.
Raise your hand if you like napping with Daddy... Ok, so I know the picture is blurry, but Davy woke up and started doing everything McCall was doing- it was too funny!
This is how I found Wrigley on Saturday morning (my in-laws have a pond next door... you think Wrigley may have gone swimming? I think so!)
Again, my dirty dog :)

Too sweet for words

Davy put this bow in McCall's hair- I was impressed with the effort :)
