Whitney Pryor (who is amazing- http://www.whitneypryorphotography.com/ ) took our Christmas photos and I have been about to bust to share a few of them. However, I decided to wait until our Christmas cards were sent out to put them on the blog, since a few of them did make it on the card.
The last picture makes me laugh- McCall interested in the Christmas tree, me trying to focus on getting the pictures finished, and Davy looking at something else going on. So typical!!! ha!

Sad News....
I started and have continued to keep up with this blog to keep a record of all the happenings in McCall's life (good or bad). Wednesday night Davy, McCall and I drove to Easley to visit my Grandmother (McCall's Great Grandmother) in the nursing home. This would be the last time (here on Earth, that is) that McCall, Davy or I would see her alive. Grandma passed away about 2 minutes after we left the nursing home. I have so many mixed emotions about the picture below- lots of joy because McCall did, in fact, get to meet her (the picture being from when McCall was 2 months old), but also I am very sad that McCall won't get to know my Grandmother like I had to opportunity to.
McCall, as you continue to grow, I promise to tell you many, many stories all about your Great Grandmother and how much fun she was. I almost wrote that I was sad that she won't get to see you grow up, but I don't think that would be accurate... I know she will.

Poor baby....
I spent all day (and most of last night) cuddling with McCall- it is official, she has her very first ear infection! She is generally so independent, but wants nothing more than for Mommy and Daddy to love all over her while she is sick. Atleast there is a bright side to her first ear infection, right?

Weekend Pictures
A few pictures from the weekend while Mimi was here!
Getting ready to go do some Christmas shopping!
Mimi and M ready for some shopping!!!
After returning home from shopping McCall found some toy ads and started pointing out what she liked- smart girl!!!!
"See, I like this!"
I just HAD to take a picture of this. No, not her teeth. The fact that I went to get her up from her nap and she had paint chips all over her face. One may ask "from what?" McCall has now chewed down to the wood on the inside part of her crib!!!!!!! Who knew babies did this?!?!?

8 Months Old
Our little McCall turned 8 months old on Tuesday- oh how is this going so fast????
At 8 months she:
At 8 months she:
- Is trying to grow up WAY too fast by pulling up and walking around (while holding on to) furniture
- Has three teeth (two bottom and one top one came in on Thanksgiving)
- Said her first word the day after Thanksgiving. Her first word was "dada" (I would just hate for her to say "mama"-I mean, it's not like I went through a long and hard labor- OK, just labor, but still....anyway...)
- Still would rather eat veggies rather than fruits
- Will wave "bye bye"
- Claps when you say "yay"
- Still sleeping like a champ (11.5 hours a night)
Crawling to me
About to make a move after my camera
"Mommy, please let me play with that thing you are always pointing at me"
Our Turkey!
Some pictures of our turkey over Thanksgiving break.
After Thanksgiving dinner on the floor with Grandpa
Davy's first deer since M was born. According to Davy, this moment in time needed documentation....
Wanting to drive already??
She must have thought Daddy said something funny!
Cousins Peyton and Pressly came to visit McCall on Thanksgiving!
For a few days she ignored the Christmas tree and I thought " I have the best child in the WHOLE world- she isn't even going to bother the tree"
I was WRONG! (about the tree part- still the best child- hehe)
What is it about that phone that is so interesting?

So Thankful....
As Thanksgiving approaches I can't help but reflect on how different mine and Davy's lives are this year from years past. We have been blessed beyond measure and have SO much to be thankful for. This by far has been the happiest year of our lives! McCall has given us more than we could have ever imagined and for that we are truly thankful. Davy and I always knew we wanted children (we just didn't know we were going to get started having them quite so soon OR have an April Fool's Baby!) and looked forward to that day. Now that McCall is here and has been for almost 8 months we couldn't be happier- she's healthy and has the most fun personality and laugh! What else could we ask for?!?!? Not a single thing....
Here's to health and happiness- Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Play time!
So, have I ever mentioned I like to share? I got the lovely stomach bug last week and shared it with: my husband, my mother-in-law, father-in-law, and now my sister-in-law and brother-in-law- don't think any of them were excited I shared! The good news (if there is a bright side to it) is that Drake came over to play since my sister-in-law and brother-in-law are sick.
McCall showing Drake her new ride
Crawling on me- of course, the camera is out.....
Drakey playing away....
picture of the teeth!
Drake decided McCall's boots should be in his mouth rather than on her feet...
OK, I totally don't get this- McCall completely dislikes her pacifier, BUT when Drake is around wants his.... interesting.
This picture is funny...Drake doesn't notice she has his paci yet.....
Now he does....but what to do??? Sorry, Drakey!
This picture makes me giggle. Right before the big hair grab! Does it make me a bad Mom or Aunt because I let him do this so I could get a picture? hope not...

WHEW......
Oh November.... I was so shocked when it got here and now so much has happened and it is almost over! OK, first, I need to say I have been the WORST blogger ever, BUT I do have a few excuses. One being that my dad, Papi, had open heart surgery on November 10 so, we have been very busy! Everything went as good as it possibly could. Dad had his surgery in Greenville on Tuesday and came to Florence with Davy and me that Saturday and has been staying with us since. We LOVE it! (And so does McCall). Set back to blogging #2) the ENTIRE family got a terrible stomach bug= no fun!!!!!
Anyway, we have been quite slack about taking photos, but these are the ones we have been meaning to post. ENJOY! :)

M taking a ride in her new wheels! (Grandma and Grandpa got her and Cousin Drake a wagon to ride in)
Enjoying the ride....
Drake came over to ride too!!!! McCall was excited, can you tell?
Cousins!
I just thought this picture was funny because this is what she kept doing everytime we tried to take a picture...ha! funny girl.....
Yes, she is STILL after me everytime I pick up the camera (and yes, I was in PJ's here)
M's crazy bed head! (and yes, we have already started putting her in Christmas pj's- we are all in the Christmas spirit at our house!!)
