Summer Fun...

My mom and Ken (and Chris,Steph, Angie and Ken) rented a house in Hilton Head for the week, so Thursday McCall, Davy and I headed down to spend some time with the family. McCall had her first experience in a swimming pool while we were there. She loves taking a bath, but we weren't sure how she would do, but to our surprise she kicked and splashed around and had a good time. The Greggs definitely had a blast while we were there- lots of fun in the sun, playing in the pool, playing games, and playing with Nick, Ryan, Lydia and Ellis. (And I'm pretty sure Mom and Ken enjoyed spending so much time with the grandchildren as well :) ). Below are some pictures from our few days at Hilton Head. Enjoy!

McCall's First PAID babysitter!

Davy and I are so incredibly blessed to have such wonderful parents, (especially moms- sorry, David, Dad and Ken- we love you guys too, but we know it's really Mom and Brenda who do the dirty work- aka-dirty diapers, spit up, etc..) who are willing to babysit our sweet McCall. But both of our moms had plans (how dare them!!!! just kidding) on Saturday night and we had to pay for a sitter.
I wasn't near as nervous as I think I should have been- probably because we were only going to dinner with some friends and because we got Amber (who has been around McCall plenty of times) to babysit. Amber is Will's girlfriend (Will is Davy's cousin) and will most likely one day be part of the family, so I felt very comfortable leaving Miss McCall in her care.

McCall watching Davy and I get ready (obviously I don't follow the Bumbositter guidelines of not putting it on an elevated surface- I was standing beside her the whole time for those who are concerned :) )

"Mommy and Daddy, you are going where? Without me?" Amber arrived to keep McCall This picture has nothing to do with the post- it's just from this weekend and I thought it was funny. She looks scared to death. She probably has bad dreams about flashes of light because I take so many pictures of her- sorry sweet girl!

Busy, busy, busy

Happy Birthday, America!!!!

McCall had a fun and exciting 4th of July. She watched Davy play baseball in two SC Alumni games (Friday in Columbia against the Blowfish and Sunday in Florence against the Redwolves). McCall was VERY proud of her dad- he had two great games! McCall also experienced fireworks for the first time in Columbia. I wasn't sure how she would react, but she did great! Also, Mimi and Papi (my mom and dad)came to visit for the weekend!!! Saturday morning we all headed down to the Spirit of Florence at Timrod Park. McCall was still a little too young to participate in the activities, but it was still a lot of fun. We spent the rest of the afternoon grilling out and just spending quality time together. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better 4th!

Davy would have NEVER stopped to smile for the camera like this when he was in college- I think coach Tanner might have a little something to do with that :)
