Going to Grandma and Grandpa's

Davy has actually been in town quite a lot lately and so have I, but this past week we BOTH had to go out of town for work- no fun! Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa live next door and kept McCall while we were gone. We still missed her like crazy, but knew she was in good hands. They were also nice enough to keep us updated on McCall via picture messages.

Grandma and Grandpa took her to eat Mexican! M sure does love rice!

This was my favorite picture they sent the whole time-She looks like such a big girl!!!!!!!

Big Girl Food

McCall was given the OK by the doctor to start eating "real food" (aka-not baby food- food from mine and Davy's plates). Below are a few pictures from dinner the other night. (and in case you are wondering, her menu consisted of sweet peas, rice and chicken- and they were a HIT!)

Dad, I hate to tell you this, but she LOVED the rice!!! (my dad is NOT a rice fan!)

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

Morning time is the MOST hectic time for me simply because I'm trying to get out the door for work and get McCall to daycare. Luckily over the past 4 months or so M has started sleeping longer and I can pretty much have myself ready to go by the time she wakes up around 7. Not so lucky.... McCall has become a handful in the mornings!!!! She is in EVERYTHING- and I mean everything. This is not limited to cabinets (kitchen and bathroom), dog food, toys, shoes of any kind (she usually tends to go for Davy's),  etc.- I think you get my point. Most mornings this stresses me out to the max. However, my New Year's Resolution (yes, I made one) was not to sweat the small stuff, so now I have started trying to enjoy my morning time with McCall by snapping pictures of her morning activities. This has become hilarious!!! Below are pictures from a few mornings this week. Enjoy!

She is usually in pj's when she drinks her bottle. However, this morning she especially acted like I was abusing her while I was changing her diaper. So, naked baby had to do.....

big smiles!

This is where she typically ends up after I FINALLY get her outfit on her

This look tells me she knows I will have to pull her away from playing to get socks and shoes on. hmm... now that is going to be a task!

McCall loves playing on the ottoman! I guess because it moves.

Going to find something else to get in to.....

shutting the door has become a new hobby in our house.

On to something else.....

Next morning all smiles again.... (snotty nose and all)

THE SHOES ARE ON BEFORE PLAY TIME....AAAAAAAMAZING!

The next few pictures make me laugh out loud!

And this is when dance party 2010 started
"I'm going to show you some of my dance moves"

"oh yeah"

Realizing I have the camera

Even with Mommy loving on her she would rather try to touch the camera...oh we have our hands full (AND LOVE every minute of it!!!)

A Review of the Week....

McCall started using a sippy cup more...

M played with Davy on the sofa

And then told us a story....

And to top off the week Price Miller came to visit!!!!

Price Miller Comes to Town!

Price Miller (and his parents too, Kristen and Blair) spent the night with us Saturday night. McCall and Price had lots of time to play with each other. We hope Price (and his parents) can come back soon! We all had a blast!!!!!

Sweet Price!

Being shy....

then they started warming up to each other to play..

and play....

and play some more.

Price decided enough time had passed for him to make a move and hold McCall's hand

Bath time with McCall and Price

they both had a fabulous time!

Then they ended their day of fun with a little more play time!

Going to Easley....without Mom and Dad!

Well, Miss McCall had her very first entire weekend trip to Easley with out Davy or me (and we all survived!). My parents called early last week and asked if they could keep McCall all weekend and after a little thinking (sorry, Mom- I promise we do trust you, but it was a BIG step) we said yes.
Of course tears started filling up my eyes as I watched their car drive the opposite direction down I-20 Friday night, but within minutes I realized Davy and I were going to be able to have (a hot)dinner TOGETHER with NO interruptions(and would be able to repeat the process on Saturday night)....wow, those tears dried up FAST!!!!
This is not to say we didn't miss McCall like crazy, because we did! BUT, McCall had lots of fun with Mimi, Papa, Papi, and Uncle Benjamin (and we got LOTS of picture texts to prove to us just how much fun she was having).
Below are a few I uploaded from my phone.

9 Month Check-up

McCall had her 9 month check-up yesterday. At 9 months she:

• Is still growing like crazy and is in the 100th percentile for height (measuring at 29 3/4 inches- which is exactly 10 inches longer than she was at birth)- I believe the Dr.'s exact words were "she's busting out of the height chart." The verdict is still out on if this is a good or bad thing. Good: our sweet baby is growing and thriving! Bad: Every time we dress her, it is like "honey I shrunk the outfit." She has some outfits that haven't even been worn yet and are already too short.... sad times.....

• Is in the 50-60th percentile on weight (coming in at 19 pounds 13 ounces)- wooo hooo!!!

• Has been given the green light on stopping some baby foods and starting some table foods- basic stuff- green beans, peas, etc.

• Has officially been diagnosed with eczema- blah! This was the not so fun part of the check-up. I had spoken with the doctor before about her skin and how dry it was, but over the past few weeks it has gotten progressively worse. Yesterday, (luckily, sort of) it was at an all time high of irritation, so the doctor saw just how bad it had gotten and gave her a prescription steroid ointment and moisturizer that we can apply when it gets really bad (wow, that was a really long run-on sentence....sorry!)

So, all in all a pretty good visit growth wise and we hope to get the eczema under control!

Bad Hair Day?

This is what happens when Daddy is in charge of getting McCall out of the tub....

her hair ends up looking like this.....
