Family Filled Weekend

This weekend McCall enjoyed several family activities (I wish I could share pictures, but SOMEBODY forgot to pack the camera...yeah, that would be me... uh oh! :(  ).
On Saturday, we went to Sissy and Boot's (Davy's sweet grandparent's) house for a graduation party for Cousin Garrett. McCall then headed off to Cousin Walker's Third Birthday Party! Holy fun times! McCall was so tired Saturday night!
And then today McCall enjoyed some sprinkler time with Cousins Walker and Lilly (and cousin Tanner too- who is a little too young to enjoy the sprinkler). McCall wasn't totally "into" the sprinkler. Actually, she enjoyed all of the cousins feeding her food more than anything. Seriously, Lilly, Courtney and Walker were feeding McCall every time I turned around. It was SO cute!!! Below are the only pictures I got (which were the ones I snapped with my phone).

Hanging out at cousins Charlie, Jennifer and Lilly's house!
Being silly....

Remember Me?

The worst blogger ever? Yeah, so I admit that I have totally fallen down on my blogging duties...my bad(yeah, I think I just said "my bad"- very 1992, right?)! So, life has been crazy busy and when I say crazy busy I mean CRAZY BUSY(both of us working full time, a one year old that NEVER stops, a mini vaca for Mom and Dad)!!! Speaking of a mini vacation, Davy and I (and our sweet friends, Jencey and Brandon) took a trip to New York last week. We had a FAB time, but I can't help but say that I had a huge amount of Mommy guilt! I've never left McCall for more than a night voluntarily (work stuff doesn't really count as voluntarily since I don't really have a choice) and we left McCall for FOUR whole nights! To say that I missed that sweet blue-eyed, round faced girl would be an understatement!
Anyway, lots of kisses and hugs have been exchanged since our return! So over the past week plus this is what McCall has been up to (other than spending lots and lots of time at Mimi, Papa's and Papi's house)....

McCall was caught sharing a meal with Wrigley...

Ready for school....
Daddy and Mommy gave her her a Bitty baby doll from American Girl in New York

Not really too sure about this baby...
For a second we thought she may be more interested in this....(the box)
BUT, at last, she warmed up to it (yes, we got the Bitty Baby for the 3+ year olds. No worries, this doll is only allowed to be played with when an adult is present- due to the chances of her eating the hair- just an FYI)
Daddy wanted to get McCall dressed for bed and this is what she came out wearing. A Christmas pj top (that is most certainly several sizes too small) and cupcake shorts.... interesting. Obviously, McCall was upset about the non-matching outfit- she IS her mother's child!
I tried to get McCall's picture before school one morning this week.
She sat in one place for 2.083216 seconds.....
then this happened....
and then turned into this...
Oh, she does keep us on our toes and I sure missed that while I was gone!!!!

Ayyyyyyyyy ya ya.... what a great (and unexpected) weekend we had! McCall, Davy and I were invited to spend the weekend at the beach Friday morning. We decided to accept that nice offer (even though Davy had to work Saturday and Sunday he decided to drive McCall and I to North Myrtle and head back late that night and come back to get us Saturday night..sweet, sweet hubby)!!! Pictures from our fun trip are below- thanks so much for having us, Dr. and Mrs. Wallace and Jess and Jennifer. Also, it was so nice to FINALLY meet Nicole and Nicholas (and sweet baby Mills!)

McCall kept wanting to get in Mill's Bumbositter...
and then she got stuck...ha!

One Year Old Class, Say What???

Ok, so this morning started out less than perfect. McCall was super fussy (thanks to several teeth that decided to show up at once...awesome....) and I was running around like crazy trying to get myself ready while getting McCall ready(having my manager ride with me today and tomorrow also slightly added some stress- even though he is WONDERFUL!). So, it was not a surprise to me when we arrived in the One Year Old Classroom and McCall started crying hysterically. (Insert sarcasm here) FABULOUS start to her first day and a Monday! I stayed strong and calmed McCall and then walked out of the room. I got a call from school about ten minutes later. I fully expected them to tell me she was still crying- to my surprise they said she was perfectly fine and was playing!!!! I kept my phone close all day thinking other issues might arise as well. At 3 I got a call from McCall's teacher, Miss Anna, saying that McCall was having a perfect first day AND (are you sitting... I was sure glad I was when she told me this) that McCall got on her napping cot all by herself and took over a two hour nap!!!!!!! My mouth dropped open! So proud of my big girl- even though the day started out a little rocky!
McCall's very first day of daycare...

And now her first day in her One Year Old Class!

It's Official....

McCall is a toddler! As of Monday, McCall will no longer be in the infant room at her school. Friday afternoon Davy and I got the call and also had a talk with the Director of the Center For The Child about McCall's transition. We visited the One Year Old Room before we picked McCall up from her class and talked with the teacher about protocol for dropping off and picking up. Good bye land of the cribs....hello napping cots. I wonder how McCall will make this adjustment! Anyway, I can't believe my big girl is growing up so fast- could someone please hit the pause button?

***PS I will fully admit I cried when Davy, McCall and I told McCall's teacher goodbye on Friday. We have just been in love with Mrs. Margie (and Miss Serita and Miss Rachel). Even though they will just be next door, it just won't be the same. I could never show enough appreciation for Mrs. Margie. She would randomly write us letters home about what a joy McCall was and how much she loved her. Mrs. Margie, thank you for taking care of the most important thing in our lives and treating her like she was your own!
