Happy Birthday, MiMi!!!!

Oh, what a fabulous and fun weekend! Mimi and Papa came to visit McCall AND we celebrated Mimi's birthday ALL weekend!!!! We seriously had the best time laughing and visiting with each other! For those who know my mom well, you know that she goes nuts and completely overboard on our birthdays-we typically get at least two birthday cakes (because she knows how much we like sweets), first of all, she is the first one to call and sing Happy Birthday to us, and ALWAYS gives the most thoughtful gifts (and it was no different when Davy and I got married she started doing the same for him- I'm so thrilled I could cry at just how much she adores Davy and genuinely treats him like a son!)- She truly does know how to make us feel incredibly special on our "special" day! SO, we ,of course, wanted to make her feel VERY special on such a special day for her. Friday night we went to dinner and on Saturday (her actual birthday) we opened gifts and had plans to go to the Melting Pot in Myrtle Beach for dinner. However, McCall has not been feeling very good so we decided to bring the Melting Pot to us- yep, we did our own fondue!!! It was DELIC(ious)!!!!!!!! YUMMY!

Mom, I hope we made you feel at least half as special as you make us feel not just on our birthdays, but everyday!!!  We love you and McCall can't wait for you and Papa to visit again soon! (McCall also said Mimi for the first time on her birthday! I'm sure that was a birthday gift by its self for her!)

OK, so these were the only candles we had in our house...it was either 26 or 62- Mom picked 26 :)

Yes, we matched on purpose to go shopping :) 3 Generations!!!
The fondue set up....
TOO funny! We were busy cooking dinner and over heard M talking- we went to the door and she was waving "bye bye" and talking to Wrigley!!!!!!
I wanted to see if she had enough hair to pull up...she does!
Oh, how I love that face!!!!
"Happy Birthday, Mimi!!!"

Eleven Months, what?

Yes, my sweet darling is 11 months old- 1 whole month until she hits the BIG ONE!
11 Month Stats:
  • McCall is 21 pounds- whoa!
  • Took her first steps on Monday- but has yet to take any more.
  • Stands completely unassisted for long periods of time
  • Has developed a "dainty" wave "bye bye" - so cute, funny and girly!
  • Will do a little "jig" when you say "dance, McCall"
  • Gives the best kisses!!!! (and hugs)
  • Now cries when I drop her off at day care
  • Has cut back to 3-4 bottles a day (about 20 ounces)
The next monthly update I am for sure to be in tears.... pray for me!

Hampton came to play Monday!

McCall threw her first temper tantrum in Wal-mart last week over this item....

Happy one minute, sad the next...

Sunday was a very interesting day for the Gregg family! Miss McCall, our sweet Valentine, was quite difficult to figure out (this teething thing has got ALL of us out of sorts). We originally got ready for church- no big deal everything was fine, and then right as we were walking out the door McCall started crying and could not be consoled. Needless to say we did NOT make it to church! We suspected that her teeth may be bothering her (her gums were and are currently swollen- AGAIN- poor thing, the 5th tooth just popped through- these things are starting to come in left and right!). After a few minutes McCall started biting down on our clothing and her clothing as well so this was a clear sign that it was in fact her teeth bothering her. Anyway, we snapped a few pictures while she was happy (and one while she was sad). Enjoy!
My two Valentine's taking their Valentine's Day nap!

Ready for church! (or so WE thought)

the next few pictures look very similar but I thought they were all so dang cute I had to include them!

Now, not so happy...look at those tears- oh, it breaks my heart!
And this picture has nothing to do with the post- it was just a picture from this morning while I was getting ready for work. Davy is home every Friday morning to help take McCall to school and he snapped this picture of us(this is a rather rare picture of us since I'm usually the one behind the camera)

Holy Moly...We Got Snow!!!

Florence doesn't see snow very often so it was quite exciting yesterday and this morning. Of course, we HAD to take a million pictures of McCall since this was her first snow fall!
The snow started when we got to Jency and Brandon's house to visit with Sally and Rambo- yes, they got a mama mini pony and a baby mini pony!!! So cute!

And of course we had to make snow cream (which reminded me of my grandmother, who use to make it for my brother and I when it would snow)
