Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day Weekend started out on Friday afternoon when my sweet Mom arrived in Florence!!! We had originally planned on driving to Easley to see her since she always comes to see us. However, McCall's gymnastics recital happened to fall on the Saturday before Mother's Day. So, she came here. Thanks Mom!!!!
I always look forward to my Mom coming to town- she is always so helpful and the girls cling to her the whole time she is here. It really is just precious to watch.  On Saturday morning we headed out to McCall's first gymnastics recital! McCall wasn't originally excited to perform, but after a few minutes, she warmed up to the idea.
After the recital, we let both our Moms (LaLa and MiMi) decide where they wanted to go for lunch and we treated them to an early Mother's Day meal.
Saturday afternoon was filled with a bunch of nothing, but yet SO fun! Mom and I did a little retail therapy while the girls napped with Davy. After they napped, Mom watched Baylor while Davy and I jumped until we couldn't jump anymore with McCall on the trampoline. It was so much fun.... and exhausting! HA.... I think I'm out of shape! It was nice to be able to spend this one on one time with Miss McCall and Davy.
On Sunday morning I woke up to breakfast in bed. Seriously? Have I ever mentioned how great my husband, girls and mom are? Davy and the girls made breakfast for my mom and I, but my mom was just the sweetest. She acted like Mother's Day was all about me- all the while, all I wanted was for her to feel special too. M and B gave my mom(MiMi) her gifts and then we headed off to church and MiMi headed back to Easley :(
After a fantastic lunch we headed home and spent the afternoon with Davy's mom. The girls helped LaLa open her gifts and hung out for a little while. The girls love playing with LaLa!
So, you could say we had a pretty awesome Mother's Day Weekend. I am beyond blessed with great Moms in my life. And I love being a Mom and Wife more than anything in the world. My girls are my world-- and I am so glad He picked me to be their Mommy!
